Signature dishes include lobster tacos, Portuguese fisher- man's stew, mussels poached in white wine, and its homemade herbed bread. The exquisite desserts can only be described as creations. "Our mantra is this beautiful view," Kathy says. When she and her partner, Barbara
Stavropoulos, bought the restaurant 10 years ago, they set out to "make the food, the ambiance, the service, the music, the flowers, everything, compete with the view," she says. A taste of their food and a look in the dining room will show how well they've
succeeded. The dining room imparts restfulness and a soft elegance, decorated with pastels and white organdy curtains blowing in the breezes. My Place by the Sea opens the first week of April.
